Apple wrote the requirement. I owned how it shipped.

Overview

Apple's requirement was unambiguous: one tap to Apple TV from any live or upcoming match. No buried CTAs. Dominant placement on every surface.

I led UX across 29 club properties on a fixed launch timeline. One integration, one design system, zero exceptions.

Primary problem

The scoreboard ticker - MLS's most-used component - couldn't take the new CTA without a full redesign. Match Detail pages were already balancing sponsors, broadcast info, and editorial. 29 club sites needed to launch the same integration on the same day.

Approach

The real constraint wasn't the button - it was not breaking 29 properties while adding it. I mapped every surface the CTA needed to live on, defined strict placement and hierarchy rules, and built the integration into the ticker as a first-class component, not a bolt-on.

The work
Systems & frameworks

A ticker redesigned to handle live match states, partner integrations, and broadcast badges without visual noise. The component outlived the project. It now handles integrations it was never scoped for.
